The glass house is located in a forest.
This unique building, called the Shokan House is right in the middle of a forest in upstate new York, and it was designed well-known construction company Jay Bargmann. The main idea for this unusual project was almost circular view of the amazing nature that surrounds the structure on all sides.
The entrance to the house is accessed from the East or West side through a door set in the concrete Foundation, including the hallway, bedroom and garage. Entrance hall with fireplace leads into a steel-framed living room with views of the reservoir through the trees, the mountains of Dali and the surrounding forest. A staircase leads to the dining room and a kitchen with more exalted views of the mountains stretching to the East and the West. There are also two bedrooms and a library.
The house is bordered by a cliff, a stone terrace and herb garden on the West and on the East bench in the shade of the trees. Concrete Foundation holding the glass structure supported by exposed beams. Cabinets and walnut separated interior space. Every part of the residence is a distinctive feature of the house and has an important value for the project. The design of the house turned out quite clear and concise.
