The Kurds of the “Democratic forces of Syria,” organized a successful ambush and attack on units of the Turkish military and Pro-Turkish Islamist militants at the Syrian city of Marea (Marais) in the Northern province of Aleppo, near the border with Turkey.

General command of the Kurdish Revolutionary Forces issued an official statement about the fierce fighting with Turkish troops and their mercenary Islamist militants involved in the operation “Shield of EVof Frate”.

The statement said that “the occupying Turkish army, supported by artillery launched a massive offensive, which involved infantry and tanks”. As a result of skillful actions of the Kurdish defense forces all attacks were repulsed and the Kurds moved from defense to offense.

In the Command confirmed the information that the rebels “Democratic forces of Syria” managed to organize several successful ambushes and cause serious damage to the militants of the “Shield of the Euphrates”. The result was killed and wounded more than 50 military, were also destroyed Turkish tanks and 9 pickup trucks with heavy machine guns DShK.
