The epicenter of the quake was about 120 km North-East of Rome and about 30 km West of Ascoli Piceno, suffered from earthquake on August 25. The focus lies at a depth of 9 km.
At the same time the Meteorological Observatory of Hong Kong estimates the magnitude of the earthquake at 5.0. Information about its possible consequences have not yet been reported.
As previously reported, on August 25 in Central Italy, an earthquake of magnitude 6.0. It was followed by a series of powerful aftershocks. The disaster has killed at least 294 people, more than 400 injured, homes lost more than 2 thousand people.
