The Border police of Romania was detained at a checkpoint of the Romanian-Bulgarian border “Giurgiu” a truck with Bulgarian license plates, which were hidden 10 migrants from Syria and Iraq. This was stated by the press service of the Border police, reports the correspondent of UKRINFORM.
“At the border crossing point Giurgiu city arrived the truck, at the wheel which was a 37-year-old driver from Bulgaria. According to the documents, the car was carrying cardboard packaging from Bulgaria to Germany. While additional verification of vehicle among cardboard boxes were identified ten workers – four women, four men and two children, of natives of Syria and of Iraq,” the statement reads.
According to migrants, they had intended to move from Bulgaria where they had the documents for accommodation, in Austria. The driver of the truck they had to pay for the transportation of four thousand euros. The driver and migrants in the near future will be transferred to the Border police of Bulgaria.
