Archaeologists began excavating a tunnel, which may be the legendary “gold train”.
Treasure hunters resumed the search for the legendary Nazi “gold train”, which is probably located on the territory of Poland.
In the near future to start digging in three areas in South-Western Poland. “The train is not a needle in a haystack, so if it exists, we’ll find him,” – said the publication representative of the project to search for the “gold train” Andrzej Gaik.
According to him, recently a research was conducted based on magnetic, gravity and radar measurements. The results showed that “there is no 100% certainty that there is a train, however, there may be a tunnel.”
“Even if we find a tunnel, it will be a real success. The train can be hidden inside of him,” expressed the hope Gaik.
In August last year, the authorities of the Polish city of Wałbrzych reported that they contacted attorneys representing two people – Polish and German, which were allegedly found in the center of this German armored train during the Third Reich.
Then the chief curator of the monuments of Poland Piotr Zuchowski recommended to refrain from independent searches of the train, as it can be unsafe materials during the Second world war, and there is a high probability that it is mined.
We are talking about the train, which at the end of the Second world war, was carrying gold and jewels from Wroclaw to Walbrzych and disappeared in transit in still unclear circumstances.
