On the basis of the Moscow city psychological-pedagogical University opened the first Federal resource center for children with autism, reports RIA Novosti. The organization will be engaged in introduction of modern medical technology, training and education of children.
“The idea of a Federal resource center was born “from below” and was supported by senior management, entered the program “Accessible environment”, — said the Deputy Minister of education and science of Russia Veniamin Kaganov.
Earlier, on 14 April, during the direct line with President Vladimir Putin raised the issue of the Belgorod region, concerning the problem of teaching children with autism, which exists in several regions of Russia. In particular, children with disabilities can learn alongside their peers in mainstream schools.
The President replied that the society is not yet ready to see such children away from other students. In his opinion, the solution to this problem is unlikely to be simple. However, the President promised that the government will work intensively in this direction in order to achieve not homemade, and inclusive education for such children. Meanwhile, Putin stressed that he believes autistic individuals are very talented.
