In Moscow burned a street installation with the characters of “Stalker”

In Moscow unknown burned the installation, depicting the heroes of the film “Stalker”, reports “Interfax”. Two-meter structure made of plywood stood for four months at the place where formerly was the home of the film Director Andrei Tarkovsky.

The installation was called “a Memorial for Tarkovsky”. On it were depicted the Stalker (Alexander Kaidanovsky), Professor (Nikolai Grinko) and Writer (Anatoli Solonitsyn) at a table in the pub. Product created by street artist Zoom in order to draw attention to the protracted reconstruction of the house where the family lived tarkovskys.

In 2004, the building in the 1st Sepkowska lane was demolished. Moscow authorities promised to restore the house and to create a cultural center by the fall of 2015, but in its place is still a wasteland.

“Stalker” is a film, filmed Tarkovsky in 1979 based on the novel by the Strugatsky brothers “roadside picnic”.

Andrei Tarkovsky — film Director and screenwriter, people’s artist of the RSFSR. Many films of the Director have become classics of national cinema, for example, “Solaris”, “Stalker”, “Andrei Rublev”, “Mirror”, “Ivan’s childhood” and others. He worked in theater, staged “hamlet” in “Lenkom” and “Boris Godunov” in London’s Royal theatre.
