The UK authorities agreed to hold in London a second referendum.
The British government rejected a petition from 4.1 million votes during a second referendum on the country’s membership in the European Union.
The Cabinet of the country explained his position by stats: in a referendum the proposal to withdraw from the EU (Brexit) is supported by 33 million people, and this opinion should be respected, said the parliamentarian.
The petition for the re-vote has become the most popular since the creation of this tool of expression of public opinion in 2011.
We will remind, on June 23, the country held a referendum. According to the results, 52% of voters supported Brexit, with 48% opposed the decision with a turnout of 72% of the citizens.
The referendum has destroyed the balance in the country and the European Union: Prime Minister David Cameron announced his future retirement, as well as other leaders of the British parties. Scotland has said it wants to remain a member of the EU, in this connection, there announced the preparation of a new referendum on Scottish independence from the UK.
