According to Iranian news Agency ISNA on Monday, June 20, with reference to the head of the security Council of the country Ali shamhani, the security forces detained a group of men who planned attacks in Tehran and other cities of the country. It is noted that all the detainees are supporters of the terrorist group “Islamic state”.
One of the Iranian intelligence declared that in the country prevented “one of the biggest terrorist plots”.
As reported by the Iranian state news Agency IRNA, citing the Ministry of intelligence, the detainees seized several bombs and a large amount of explosives. It is assumed that the Islamists were planning to attack on the anniversary of the death of one of the wives of the prophet Mohammed, which was celebrated in Iran on June 16.
