In Estonia alarmed that the situation is serious – the decision by Russia is facing enormous consequences. As reported, Russian Ambassador to Estonia Aleksandr Petrov in interview to “Izvestia”, representatives of the Estonian business complain regarding sanctions against Russia and declare significant damage, dealing a blow to the Estonian economy.
“Estonian businessmen are dissatisfied with the preservation of sanctions against Russia. Prominent business representatives claim that the sanctions negatively affect the Estonian economy. In 2015, the turnover fell more than thirty percent,” – said Petrov.
The Russian diplomat recalled the situation, when Estonia tried to sell 35 thousand tonnes of herring, which were previously exported to the Russian market. Because of the sanctions the catch was unclaimed, they managed to seize only part of it.
According to Alexander Petrov, Estonian businessmen recognize that the Russian market is the best for their country on the price offers and sales. “Business opinion is unambiguous”, — said the diplomat.
