Ukraine has never been internal conflict. This was stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in an interview with DW.
“People in the East of Ukraine in any case not persecuted for their views. Ukraine has never been internal conflict, ever. What happened in 2014 happened because Russia invaded a sovereign country,” — said Groisman after the discussion of the situation in Ukraine journalist DW reminded the policy that the residents of Eastern Ukraine has always had close ties with Russia.
Groisman said that one of the fundamental enemies of Ukraine”, in addition to corruption and populism, are “Russian tanks”.

Armed confrontation between Ukrainian security forces and militias self-proclaimed republics of Donbass lasts from April 2014.
