60% of the population of single-industry towns of Russia assess the economic situation as tolerable with difficulty
36 % of respondents said that finding a decent job in their city almost impossible
More than half of the residents of the Russian monocities assess the socio-economic situation as barely tolerable or even intolerable. This is evidenced by data survey of the Federal security service of the RF / FSO/ published online RBC website.
According to the results among about 55 thousand people poll, 5% of the population of single-industry towns is below the poverty line. 36 % of respondents said that finding a decent job in their city almost impossible.
Russia has 319 cities, i.e. cities, the majority of the working population which works on one or more city-forming enterprises. Their population is about 14 million people.
As noted, in 2014 the number of single-industry towns, in crisis, was 75, in the same year the number had grown to 94.
