The Director-animator Harry Bardin turned to crowdfunding for the filming of another cartoon – “Bolero 2017”. Bardin hopes to shoot a picture in a year or in case of a successful fundraiser. The aim of the project is 7 million rubles, and in two days collected 150 thousand rubles.

Harry Bardin raises money for new cartoon through crowdfunding
Outdoor fundraising has repeatedly helped Bardin remove the cartoons. So, this scheme has funded the production of “the Three tunes” and “Listening to Beethoven”. On the crowdfunding project page Bardin left a message:
I didn’t let you past my painting “Listening to Beethoven” was a success at the Cannes film festival. I hope will not fail this time. It so happened that this year marks 25 years my Studio. I’m going to remove the twenty-fifth film, and in the same year I turn 75 years! But my life is the opportunity to work. You will prolong my life, if I will put you in the picture. I thank you in advance and I can say one thing: I promise I will not fail you! Do not fail me. I’m counting on your help!”
Bardin debuted in animation in 1975, when he released his short film “reaching for the sky.” Since then, he has filmed about 20 animated films and remains one of the most famous domestic multipliers. In 1987 at the Cannes film festival he received the “Palme d’or” for short film “Freaks”.
