German Andre Greipel without problems won another victory in the Italian stage race.
Profile of the 12th stage best fit the sprint outcome – the fully flat 182-kilometer section was completed the expected sprint showdown and finishing the alignment Greipel easily confirmed his status of favorite.
Greipel became a six-time winner of stages at the Giro, and the third time in his career won at least three cut into three-week stage race. A similar dominance of the sprint Greipel was organized at the Tour de France in 2012 and 2015.
