“The coalition (the ruling party in Parliament) can complete their debate about abolishing dual citizenship. Dual passports remain,” – stated categorically Meuse on the eve of the debate.
He criticized those who urged the abolition of dual citizenship, accusing them that they “are not aware of German realities”. Maas is confident that this move will make the country safer, however, in terms of integration will be a huge step backwards.
