German policy for the supply of arms Ukraine

The Sunday issue of “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” (FAZ) imposes liability for violation of the ceasefire by Pro-Russian militants in the Donbass. According to the editorial, the part of German politicians in favor of supplying Ukraine weapons.

From the journalists the analysis of the documents drawn up by the OSCE observers from 16 April to 31 July follows that militants violated the truce “significantly more” than the soldiers of the Ukrainian army. In the case of use of heavy weapons, armored vehicles, antiaircraft weapons and artillery, the OSCE observers noted 1100 abuses by gangs and 340 from the side of government forces. Militants 850 times fired at positions of the Ukrainian army, which, in turn, opened fire 520 times.

German journalists, furthermore, pay attention that the militants much more than the government forces were obstructed or opposed the control of the OSCE observers.

Europool from the German Union of Christian Democrats, Michael Haler, in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the Donbas, voted for the transfer of Ukraine of equipment intelligence and defensive weapons. This view is shared by the Chairman of the foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament Elmar Brok. At the same time, the German politician noted that the supply of arms must be made so that Russia doesn’t consider this a violation of the Minsk agreements.
