Earlier it was reported that in the village rebelled Gypsies who left without gas because of illegal attempts to “crash” into the gas pipeline of about 400 houses. A team of gas-men, who came in Plekhanovo for the elimination of violations, the Gypsies met with sticks. They burned tires and beat the stones of glass in the technique of gas-men. Yesterday a video started the riot, showed on the air STRC “Tula”:

According to the government of the Tula region, about 300 Plekhanov “Roma houses”, and only 30% of them are legalized. The rest is, in fact, are a squatter. That is why some residents Plekhanovo have no legal right to conclude contracts for the supply of gas and make the so-called illegal tapping.

Moreover, according to local newspaper “the Tula news” with reference to an informed source in the administration of Tula, the Gypsies in the Plekhanov steal not only gas but also electricity.

The official said that the energy periodically in Plekhanovo go on raids, attack the workers there, too, but not as large as in the situation with the gas pipeline.

He fears being disconnected from gas, the residents of illegal buildings will start to steal electricity in large volumes, and the local network cannot sustain. And this again will lead to problems in those houses, whose owners are law-abiding pay for electricity.

As they say in the message of administration of Tula, currently is working on regularizing unauthorized constructions in the territory of the settlement Plekhanovo, so that the “Gypsy house” — the illegal buildings in the village can get married.

According to others, the Gypsy settlement has engaged bailiffs. It was reported that the court ordered to demolish hundreds of illegally built Roma buildings, and this decision should be done before the end of February. However, the owners of buildings did not, an appointment to the bailiffs never showed up. Another court hearing on the matter scheduled for March 22.

If within the prescribed period of illegal buildings owners will not demolish all that was built without permission, the demolition will be performed forcibly.

Meanwhile, the President of the Federal national-cultural autonomy of Russian Gypsies Nadezhda Demeter in an interview with REGNUM news Agency said that this conflict lasts for 10 years.

She recognizes that part of the land was acquired by squatting, but earlier claims from the authorities towards the Roma living in this village for nearly 60 years. According to her, problems arose with the new administration, in 2005 when the village became part of Tula.

Over the years, managed to legalize only 30% of homes, and overall in Plekhanov now there are about three thousand people. In the city administration, for its part, promise that the document will allow to legalize the unauthorized construction at the Plekhanov, soon will be forwarded for discussion at a public hearing.
