Tony was twice top scorer of Serie A, led the scoring race in the Bundesliga and UEFA Cup. The Italian was twice German champion, took the Cup and the super Cup.

At the international level, Luca Toni in the Italian national team played 47 matches and scored 16 goals. Ukrainian fans well remember Tony’s quarterfinal victory for Italy’s 2006 world Cup – then ramming forward twice defeated Alexander Shovkovsky, while Italy defeated Ukraine with the score 3:0.
