In the Italian capital for mayor for the first time in history can be chosen woman, Virginia Radji representing populist “five star Movement” (M5S).
Against it stands Roberto Jacketti, supported by the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi.
This is the second round of voting. In the first round of the Virginia Radji received more than 32% of the vote. Second place went to Giachetti.
The main theme of the campaign Radji was the fight against corruption and privileges.
Mayoral elections are also held in Milan, Turin and other cities where none of the candidates failed to gain 50% in the first round of voting.
