In the Microsoft theatre took place solemn ceremony of awarding the main American television award – “Emmy” (Primetime Emmy Awards). Best drama series it was unanimously recognized as the most popular TV show of HBO “Game of thrones”, which also became the absolute champion by quantity of nominations and wins.

For the title of best drama series the sixth season of “Game of thrones” had to compete with such delegatename as “Mr. robot”, “house of cards”, “Better call Saul!,” “Americans,” “homeland” and “Downton Abbey”. In this adaptation of the series of epic novels by George R. R. Martin has also received awards in the categories “best script in a drama series (David Benioff, D. B. Weiss) and “best Director in a drama series” (Miguel Sapochnik).
