The soldiers forming “Tornado” and Femen activists gathered near the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv to draw attention to the problem of corruption in Ukraine. About this informed the TV channel “112. Ukraine”.
“The action will be in the style of Femen, meaning that there were naked girls. So they want to attract the attention of American diplomats to the problem of corruption among Ukrainian officials”, – stated in the message. According to media reports, “tornadovtsa” located near the Embassy for the “protection” of the event. In addition, the protesters intend to seek a meeting with the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch.
The unit “Tornado”
A volunteer detachment “Tornado” became known on 18 June 2015, when the radicals refused to obey the decree of the head of the MIA of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, to disband the unit. They took a defensive perimeter at the base in one of the schools in Luhansk region. The then Governor of the region Gennady Moskal was forced to contact the authorities with the demand to disarm fighters “Tornado”, because, according to him, they actually formed a gang which engaged in kidnapping, murders, rapes, robberies and other crimes. After these events, eight people from the Tornado, including his commander Ruslan Onishchenko, was detained.
