The head of the football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko announced the approach of the verdict for the election of the city which in 2018 will host the final of the Champions League.
Next Wednesday (September 14) in Athens in the framework of the UEFA Congress will be the election of a new President of the European football Union (candidates – Aleksander Ceferin, founder and Michael van Praag).
It is expected that after the vote new top UEFA will make a number of decisions, including at the venue of the final of the European Cup matches in season 2017-2018.
“With the involvement of the newly elected President will have to address the ambitious goal – carrying out in Kiev the Champions League final in 2018.
UEFA’s decision is expected on the day after the elections there, in Greece, where they brought all the necessary documents and guarantees. In Athens will be a fruitful week in the interests of Ukrainian football,” wrote Pavelko on the page in “Facebook”.
In addition to the issue with the holding in Kiev Champions League season 2017-2018 leadership of the football Federation of Ukraine will try to return to Kharkiv international status, which will allow first capital to host the matches of Ukraine national team and European competitions.
