In Ukraine, summed up the economic results, which the country had achieved after the victory of Euromayday, held under the slogan of the necessity of the Association agreement with the EU. This was told by Executive Director of the International Bleyzer Foundation in Ukraine Oleh Ustenko at a Kiev press conference.
So, despite some growth in exports to the EU, Ukraine has seen a significant downturn in the markets of Russia and CIS.
“Yes, you can rejoice in the fact that in the EU we sell now 40% of our exports. In 2012-2013 it was 25%. We have become more dependent on the European market, and policies are in awe of this increased dependence. However, we have dramatically dropped the dependence on the markets of Russia and CIS. If in 2012-2013, Russia accounted for about 30%, now – more than 10%. All would be nothing if the economy played out as shown by these figures. But, unfortunately, the reality for January-August we had the fall in exports by 9%. At year-end is likely to be 7-8%”, – cited the actual numbers Ustenko.
The expert also notes that common indicators of Ukraine fell on all positions.
“We have to understand that the increase in the share of the EU does not mean that we have to get more money. We fell for all positions and for Russia and the CIS and EU”, – he concluded.
