EU extends by six months the anti-Russian sanctions

The decision affects 146 people and 37 entities from Russia, Ukraine and occupied Crimea.

“It’s mostly the leaders of the terrorists, also involved in the annexation of Crimea. It is formulated as a list of individuals and companies implicated in violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. These 27 companies, mostly companies that operate in the territory annexed the Crimea, besides a Russian Bank”, – the correspondent reports.

There is also a separate personal sanctions, prohibiting entry into the EU and freezing assets on the territory of the EU.

“It is believed that these sanctions extend easily, usually prolonging the European Council without discussion. Much more complex are the economic sanctions that affect sectors of the Russian economy. They will be discussed at the summits of the EU Council, and, according to experts, will be harder to continue than personal,” added the reporter.
