Erdogan stated Turkey’s readiness to participate with US in the liberation of the Syrian Raqqa.
Turkey wants to join the US-led military operation to liberate the Syrian city of raqqa fighters from the terrorist group “ISIL” if this wouldn’t be attracted to the Kurds, said on Sunday the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“Collaboration is very important to us. If the United States draws to the operation of the PYD and YPG (Kurdish party “Democratic Union” and the Kurdish people’s protection units from Syria – ed.), we are ready to fight together with the United States” – quoted Erdogan as the Western media.
In late August, Turkey and her allied Syrian opposition launched a military operation “Shield of the Euphrates against ISIL in Syria in the area of Dzharablus. While the Turkish side also stated that the operation aimed at cleansing the area from Kurdish troops along with the forces of the Islamic state.”
