The European football Union has published financial statements for the Champions League for the 2015-2016 season.
Each of the participants in the group stage of the main club tournament of Europe received at least 12 million euros. The rest of the winning clubs have earned themselves over the results and selling the rights to broadcast.
Kiev “Dynamo” in the group “Maccabi” (tel Aviv), the “Port” and “Chelsea” has managed to take second place for the first time in many years, made it to the playoffs. In 1/8 finals the team of Serhiy Rebrov with a total score 1:3 lost to Manchester city. European breakthrough helped Dynamo earn 26.6 million euros, including 3.3 million in marketing activity.
Shakhtar, having won the qualification, automatically earned 14 million euros. In the group with real Madrid, Paris and Malmo, the Pitmen got only four points (1.68 million euros), and another two million Shakhtar got for selling rights to broadcast. The total is 17.62 million (excluding the performances in the playoffs of the Europa League).
