Recently, a very popular trend of remaking old dilapidated buildings in a new comfortable home. Untouched facade of the dwelling only adds a colorful, and perfectly fits it into the natural landscape.
.The architectural group Brandao Costa Architects implemented the project of reconstruction of the old building into a private house in the Portuguese village of melgaço. From previous experts left intact only stone walls. Moreover, the essential part of the house was built in the same style with local materials: stone and natural wood. Part of the house integrated in the natural hill.

In contrast to the ancient appearance, inside, the house looks quite modern. The interior is made in minimalistic style. The architects felt that the scenic view from large glass Windows needs to compensate for the modesty of interior decoration.
