Fisher Stevens, Director of the environmental documentary “Before the flood”, the premiere of which took place on 9 September at the International film festival in Toronto, told reporters that six years ago, at the beginning of work in the film, actor Leonardo DiCaprio was in a very dangerous situation.

Leonardo DiCaprio almost drowned during the first expedition crew to the Galapagos Islands. Together with other project participants, among whom was actor Edward Norton, DiCaprio performed scuba dive.
Fisher Stevens says:We were scuba diving under the water together with Leo, Edward and producer Sylvia Earl. We watched a spotted manta rays – it was very beautiful and exciting. Suddenly, however, I discovered that I had lost sight of DiCaprio and Norton: as it turned out, Leonardo was a faulty oxygen tank, the air ended quickly. Edward had to rescue him, it was a terrible situation, but in the end everything worked out”.

Earlier also it was reported that DiCaprio was on the verge of death during the filming of “Survivor” during severe shooting took place in Canada, the actor was suffering from hypothermia.
