At the meeting of the regional interdepartmental operational staff on elimination of an emergency situation (we are talking about the house that suffered the gas blast in Volgograd in the street of Cosmonauts, 47) the Governor of the region Andrei Bocharov said: “the House is not suitable for living”.

The head of the region recalled the results of the study partially destroyed MCD conducted a mobile complex “String”.

As noted Bocharov house will be demolished, and at present all efforts are aimed at continuing work to accommodate people and provide them with all necessary”.

To resolve further issues, the Governor of the Volgograd region will send a letter to the Russian Government for additional funds to provide people with housing. This decision was supported by Minister of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov. In the meantime, some victims live with relatives, and another part — in the social hotel.

Andrey Bocharov has instructed the municipality together with the emergency situations Ministry and law enforcement agencies to organize the access of tenants in the apartments of the first and third entrances, so that people could take away valuable things and documents.

“It is extremely important to ensure the safety of residents. For this purpose, all forces and means of the 22 December from 10-00 to 16-00 will focus on a scene”, — said the head of the region.

At the staff meeting the Deputy head of the emergency situations Ministry, Leonid Belyayev said that currently rescuers continue to disassemble the collapsed building. The main blockages are concentrated on the second and sixth floors, presumably, there are also missing. “The rescuers are at risk, their work deserves a lot of respect” — said Belyaev.
