Cuba gave its first concert of the famous American pop star more than a decade, reports The New York Times. 6 March in Havana was made by DJ Diplo (Thomas Pentz) with the project Major Lazer.
The show was close to the newly opened U.S. Embassy and was free. The latest from American pop stars to Cuba in 2005 came the band Audioslave.
Earlier it was reported that the legendary British rock band The Rolling Stones first performance in Cuba, the musicians will give a free concert in Havana. The concert will take place on 25 March 2016. The group will perform at arena Ciudad Deportiva.
Concert The Rolling Stones held a few days after scheduled for March 20-21 first visit to Cuba of President Barack Obama. A breakthrough in relations between the U.S. and Cuba occurred last year, when in April at the summit of the Americas in Panama, talks were held between the two leaders – Obama and Raul Castro. Then between States were restored diplomatic relations.
