The fashion for very large smartphones returns. Today was the announcement of a monoblock Micromax Canvas Mega with a screen 6 inches and running Android 5 Lollipop, which became part of the budget segment. A cell phone is suspiciously cheap, given the large IPS screen, but the list of characteristics that, fortunately, was the explanation.
Micromax Canvas Mega is a phablet very elementary by modern standards level, and it was created for those who need a device with a large screen at a low price, and all other features of the toppings is not important. It turns out that for 120 US dollars the buyer will receive a 6-inch phablet with a resolution 960h540 pixels, as in “Nokias” five years ago, and 1 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 8 GB. The manufacturer, however, has provided a microSD slot, so not so bad. The CPU of the smartphone operates at frequency of 1.3 GHz and has four cores, although the model is not specified. The smartphone Micromax Canvas Mega supports installation of two SIM-cards and works in networks of the fourth generation, it has a GPS receiver and a camera on 5 and 8 megapixels. Standard wireless modules also available, as well as a basic set of sensors — accelerometer, proximity and light. The phablet is powered by a battery capacity of 3000 mAh and costs only 120 USD.
