The American edition of the Forbes has published a ranking of the cleanest countries in the world. 140 countries were evaluated according to the methods of The Environmental Performance Index developed by Columbia and Yale universities. The technique is based on the environmental assessment for 25 criteria (ranging from clean air and quality water to biodiversity and the use of pesticides).
