So, people who have abandoned animal protein in favor of vegetable, the mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases fell by 12%, and from all other diseases — 10%. The scientists based their conclusions on records of health and diet 131,342 people who were tracked for three decades.

“Our findings suggest that people should consider eating more vegetable protein than animal protein, and when they choose among sources of animal protein, fish and chicken — best choice”, say the researchers.

However, many other nutritionists argue that we should not immediately abandon red meat. But increase the amount of vegetable proteins necessary.
