After a rather low ratings of the second season of true detective, many fans had doubts that HBO will continue to take it off. However, more recently it became known that anybody that is not going to give up on “true detective” – the authors of the series are looking to continue the story in the third season. Moreover, it is not excluded that it will be a place for one of the characters in the first season.
“Catch McConaughey” re: how “True detective” continues the story of the Rasta Cole
In July at the presentation of HBO during the traditional press tour of television critics Association of America program Director of channel Casey Bloyce said that “True detective” has not yet closed, but the third season is currently also not conducted. If the series will continue to engage Nick Pizzolatto, who worked on the first and second seasons, then the audience should not expect the return of the project before 2018. The fact is that Pizzolatto currently busy with a new TV series of “Perry Mason” in which the main role will be played by Robert Downey Jr.

Recently there were rumors regarding the return in the continuation of “true detective” character Rust Cole, played by Matthew McConaughey.
In an interview the actor gave to the program “Show Richie aisén”, McConaughey admitted that he greatly misses his hero. When the host asked Matt about the possibility of a return to Growth of Cole in the third season, he explained that such a possibility is still there:I miss Growing Cole. I miss watching his adventures on Saturday nights. While we for six months filming “true detective”, I was the happiest person in the world. Of course, I was talking about the return of Rasta in the series with Nick, Pizzolatto”.

No other information about the sequel at the moment no, but HBO still has not announced the closure of “true detective”, it means a chance for his return is still there. With hopeless projects here, without further ADO – immediately after the demonstration of “Vinyl” from Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s series was closed due to low ratings – the channel guide I do not see sense to develop the story further.
