According to Uwe Raschke, Bosch sales in Russia in 2015 decreased to the level of 2009-2010. And the recovery will take the same amount of years, how much has been lost. And the volume of production in Russia fell by 30-40% in comparison with 2013. According to a member of the Board of the German company, Russia’s problem is an insufficient level of industrialization. Bosch difficult to find a vendor, and importing components in Russia, the company loses the benefits at a price that gives local production.
As for the plant for the production of automotive components Bosch in Samara, today it is running less production lines than originally planned. While this is only the production of ABS and ESP. But as soon as the German company will see that Russia’s economy is recovering, it will increase production and add new products at the Samara plant.
