Every week the readers of “Film About” send us dozens of their reviews, reviewed movies, and we select from them the most vivid and interesting in our opinion. The more detailed the written text, the more chances you have to get the cherished points and climb in the standings. Best reviews of the week: Tarzan. Legend”, “Equal”, “Goodfellas”
The constant participant of our competition Vladimir Samara this week chose to parse the recent premiere of the adventure film David Yates ‘ Tarzan. Those who expected otherwise, I will disappoint you is the lack of clear chronology: children’s and youth events are shown only in the memories of John Clayton, long since moved to their historical homeland and become a real gentleman. But this is not important. The film leaves a mixed impression. On the one hand, it is definitely a beautiful magical story with an almost fairy-tale characters and with corresponding entourage. On the other, it was clearly a social background, which is not usual for an entertaining movie, especially addressed to children’s audience. The theme of slavery, corruption and ruthlessness of the business world is perhaps the most basic outline of the plot. Even the love story here presented as a struggle against injustice and for the liberation not only of a loved one, but also all the victims of cruel exploiters. It turned out a kind of mixture between cute tale and visual grandstanding, designed to help the young generation with the help of beloved children’s characters to touch the once harsh historical realities.”

Darya Dyakova appreciated Comedy “Nice guys”, not so long ago released. According to contestants, the film can be called “an adventurous detective story” in which Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are working in tandem “tough guy detectives.”

One gets the feeling that the genre had simply outlived its usefulness. The this week only confirms my fears. Unbearably boring and the secondary story with a horribly slow start does not bring absolutely anything new to the genre, neither in the cinema nor in the audience’s minds. Sterile picture in almost monochrome colors good atmosphere once again we predicted a future of faceless life, but not to notice her resemblance to the iconic “Equilibrium” is possible only because of complete information vacuum from the creation of Kurt Wimmer.
