Sunday, September 25, Japan raised their fighters after eight aircraft of the air forces of China flew near the island of Okinawa in southern Japan, according to NHK, citing the Japanese military.
As the newspaper notes, the Chinese planes did not violate Japanese airspace, but flew dangerously close to the border.
“Eight aircraft flew between the main island of Okinawa and Miyako island in the South-West of the Prefecture, from the East China sea to the Pacific ocean. Then they turned and flew back in the direction of the East China sea”, – reported in the Japanese Ministry of defense.
According to the data obtained from Japanese aircraft, it was two fighters H6, four bombers and two reconnaissance aircraft TU-154 and Y-8.
Representatives of the Ministry of defense of Japan stated that this is the first time that Chinese fighters flew in this area.
