One person was killed, 6 missing
It became known about the death of at least one person in the blast, which occurred at a chemical plant of BASF in the German city of Ludwigshafen.
It is noted that except one who died in the explosion, there are six people that are still missing. All of them were in the immediate vicinity of the explosion. In addition, with the explosion six people were injured.
It also became known that the explosion occurred in the port side of the enterprise — where there is loading and unloading gases liquefied under high pressure, and flammable liquids.
The company BASF announced the suspension of production at the Central production sites of the chemical plant.
