The operator of the American online service of taxi Uber owes their workers in the States of California and Massachusetts 852 million dollars. As informs Agency Reuters, this is the sum of the drivers estimate their losses over the last seven years.
They believe that the company should reimburse them the cost of gasoline and maintenance for that out of pocket, they spent $ 732 million, and to pay a fine in the amount of 120 million dollars. According to lawyers, these calculations are based on the base rate of compensation to taxi drivers, installed by the US government, and service data on car mileage.
Currently, Uber offers to pay only 100 million, accounting for 12 percent of the limitation amount.
How the process will be completed, depends on who recognizes the court of drivers: employees (full time employees) or contractors insist on what in the company. Full reimbursement is only possible in the first case.
