Adygei demand direct elections

Адыгейцы требуют прямых выборов

In Adygea started the work of the regional public organization “For fair elections”, in the list of founders where 120 activists from all over the country.

“Our goal is the restoration of direct, universal elections, which was illegally abolished in March of this year,” reads the mission statement of the movement.

The organization recently held its first meeting in the village of Yablonovsky, which was attended by over 200 delegates from different regions of Adygea. The meeting was led by social activist, head of “Adyghe Khasa” of Krasnodar region Asker Sokht. Events of this nature are solved now carried out in all settlements of the Republic of Adygea.

At the end of the meeting for the right to vote and choose the President of the Republic of Adygea, participants took a number of appeals to the authorities. So, in the appeal to the head of Adygea and the state Council of the Khase of the Republic noted that “the abolition of direct elections is seen as neobosnovano and undue restriction of the electoral rights of the residents of Adygeya”.

In the other appeal – in the name of the Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the southern Federal district Vladimir Ustinov – activists need to start the procedure for the restoration of the right of election by the residents of the head of Adygea. A similar appeal and directed in the name of Vladimir Putin.

Under these addresses “real” signature left about 6 thousand inhabitants of the Republic. On the Internet site signed up more than 5 thousand users.

The discontent of inhabitants of Adygeya caused by the abolition of the direct election of the President(http://golos-kubani.ru/v-adygee-otmenili-pryamye-vybo..) in March 2016, the last composition of the state Council, Khase of the Republic, for the nine months to the end of the term of office of the current President. President Aslan Tkhakushinov will be until January 2017.

Regional public organization “For fair elections” will continue to exist until Federal authorities would not hear their appeal for the right to choose the President of the Republic, activists note.
