Most people come to Hawaii to spend countless hours on the white sand of the local beaches, while sipping on delicious exotic cocktails. However, there is an option interesting, especially for cat lovers – you can visit a unique island nature reserve.
It is a heavenly place located on the island of Lanai in the Pacific ocean. The island is very small – it covers an area over 360 square kilometers. Here live a few thousand of the indigenous population and tourists and around 500 cats, which are contained in the local orphanage Lanai Cat Sanctuary, writes Bored Panda.
This home is not like the others: it cats roam freely throughout, and not sitting in jail. Animals live in conditions close to natural. They have their own houses and bedrooms, shared dining room, each allowed two meals a day, health and well-being of everyone watching the vets.
This place has become quite popular – many people specially come here to make out with cute little animals.
The sanctuary is open to visitors only a few hours a day, but there are allowed to take “furry guest” if suddenly someone of them liked. If a cat no one will take, then he has a great opportunity to live life in this cat Paradise.
