Experts of the IMF (International monetary Fund) suggested that after a small growth in 2016 (1%) and 2017 (2.3%) will begin crisis years, which would entail an economic depression.
According to economist Boris Kushniruk, after the fall of Ukraine’s economy by 20%, beginning in 2012, the country could remain in recession for a long time. In circumstances where the annual GDP growth does not exceed 1-1,5%, in fact, the country is in economic depression.
Kushniruk noted that is the supporter of dialogue with the IMF. In his opinion, the main issue today is the possibility of increasing the growth of the Ukrainian economy in the conditions that had been planned jointly with the Fund. The economist said that he has some list of grievances addressed to the government of the National Bank.
The specialist explained that the government has no idea how to deal with the economic crisis, and the IMF will not do it. Responsibility for depression, in his opinion, must take on the Cabinet.
