In Iraq’s Mosul, the last major town under control of the “Islamic state” was depressed uprising, whose goal was the return of the city under the control of government forces. The militants executed 58 people suspected of involvement in the uprising.
This was reported by Reuters, citing official sources in Iraq.
Some residents who have access to a telephone, on condition of anonymity told the Agency that the suspects were drowned, and their bodies buried in a mass grave in the outskirts of the city.
Reuters does not report the name of the leader of the revolt, for reasons of risk to the safety of his family members.
