24 may – Day Iranian culture in the Museum of the great Patriotic war on Poklonnaya hill

24 мая - День иранской культуры в музее Великой Отечественной войны на Поклонной горе

Dear friends, the Cultural office at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation and the Central Museum of the great Patriotic war (1941-1945) invite you to the Grand celebration of the 34th anniversary of the liberation of the Iranian city khorramshahr from Iraqi occupation during the Iran-Iraq war 1980-1988

In celebration of the following events will be held:

1) presentation of the books by Iranian writers, dedicated to the Iran-Iraq war and first published in translation in Russian language. The presentation will feature the following editions:

– the book “I’m alive” (memories of Iranian girls about the years spent in captivity), the author – a member of Islamic Council of Tehran, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war, MA’am sume Abad;

– the book “fighting city Chronicles” (a collection of short stories about war, translated by students of Moscow state linguistic University), the author – known Iranian writer Habib Ahmad-zadeh;

2) screening of the short documentary film about the city khorramshahr;

3) screening of Iranian feature film “the Third day”;

4) inspection of the photo exhibition and book fair, dedicated to the Iran-Iraq war.

The celebration will be held at the address: metro station “Park Pobedy”, str Victory Square, d. 3, Central Museum of the great Patriotic war

Date of event: may 24, 2016, beginning at 18:00 (Grand concert hall)

Admission is free

Attention! Those who are planning to arrive by car at the entrance to the Museum will have to say the password “Iranian culture”.

We also inform that those who come to the Museum before the event, will have the opportunity to visit it for free.
