Tomatoes and watermelons improve the permeability of blood vessels

Томаты и арбузы улучшают проходимость кровеносных сосудовThis vegetable and berry has incredible properties and can help people with weak hearts.

As studies have shown, they contain the pigment lycopene.

And it restores damaged diseases of the blood vessels and increases their permeability. An experiment was conducted in which 36 healthy people (control group) and 36 people with cardiovascular disease took either a placebo, either a product containing lycopene.

In the beginning of the experiment and at the end scientists have studied the vascular permeability of the volunteers (one of the markers of cardiovascular health). Turned out in patients and in healthy individuals receiving the drug is lycopene, the permeability of blood vessels increased by 53%. These findings reinforces statistics (people who are actively consuming tomatoes and watermelon, are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases).

By the way, as shown by another study, tomatoes are rich in lycopene increase sperm quality. For the three-month study were invited 60 healthy men 18-30 years of age. Half the volunteers were given twice a day capsule with lycopene and the rest a dummy medication. Experts have long known about the antioxidant properties of lycopene. And, apparently, it is due to this increased quality of sperm.
