Coach Fatih Terim, Turkey presented the final request of his team to the European championship.
Most of the players of the national team of Turkey act in a local national championship, and the main stars of the team are foreign players – the FC Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan, master of set pieces Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Burak Yilmaz, who left for big money in China.
The national team of Turkey at Euro 2016:
Goalkeepers: Volkan Babacan (“Istanbul”), Harun Tekin (“Bursaspor”), Onur Kivrak (Trabzonspor);
Defence: gökhan gönül, Shener Sparkly, Mehmet Topal, Caner Erkin (fenerbahçe), Ahmet çalık (“home”), Hakan Balta, Semih Kaya (both Galatasaray), Ismail Kabashi (“Besiktas”);
Midfielders: Volkan Mor (“Narellan”), Volkan şen, Ozan Tufan (both fenerbahçe SK), Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Leverkusen), Nuri şahin (Borussia D), Oguzkhan an attempt on goal, olcay şahan (both “Besiktas”), Selcuk Inan (Galatasaray), Arda Turan (“Barcelona”);
Forwards: Burak Yilmaz (“Guoan”), Junk Tosun (Besiktas), Yunus Malli (FSV Mainz).
The Turks were in group D – one of the most smooth at the European Championships. The Fatih Terim’s team for reaching the playoffs will compete with Croatia (12 June, Paris), Spain (17 June, nice) and the Czech Republic (21 June, lance).
