Apartment of 100 square in Trnava, Slovakia, located in a former convent, built in 1719. In the mid-twentieth century it was converted into a house. The authors of the project JRKVC set a goal to transform this space with a large number of temporal layers in a clean and functional home. The architects managed to uncover the advantages of the old methods of construction within a reasonable budget.
After a short design process, it became clear that the main attention will be focused on the living room. This is an open space with restored original forms of the ceiling and a library in the entire height of the wall. Part of the library can be rotated and serves as a secret door to the bedroom, located on the other side of the rack, connecting the two parts of the apartment.
The owner is a young childless couple. Now this open space, but in the future will be relatively small intervention to convert it into a two-bedroom apartment.
