The Arctic could be completely gone in the next two years.
Researcher from Cambridge University Peter Wadhams believes that the territory of the Arctic will for the first time in the last hundred thousand years to completely get rid of the ice in the current or next year.

According to Wadhams, he is confident that the Arctic ice sheets, the area of which is about 1 million kilometres, until the autumn of the current year will disappear.
Specialist is repelled by previously known melting rates of ice in the vast Northern hemisphere. More than 30 years ago, the area of ice cover in the Arctic was equivalent to 12.7 million kilometers. At the start of the current year this figure fell to 11.1 million kilometers. This summer the Arctic ice cap in itself account for 3.4 million kilometers, which is incredibly low figure.
