The American managed to get from Microsoft 10 thousand dollars of compensation for a forced Windows update.
A resident of Sausalito, California, sued Microsoft good money for that company without asking tried to upgrade her computer to Windows 10. This is the first known lawsuit related to a forced update of the Microsoft operating system.
In 2015, shortly after the release of Windows 10, computer Teri Goldstein without asking the hostess independently downloaded and tried to install the new OS. The upgrade failed, and, as told by the American, then the PC became a “fail” and slowly work up to that over the next few days they were impossible to use.
“I have not heard anything about Windows 10 and no one ever asked me if I wanted to get this update,” said Goldstein. The outcome of the trial the woman was awarded $10,000 as compensation for the purchase of a new PC and lost part of their salaries, which Goldstein was not able to earn due to failure.
Microsoft has refused to comment on the lawsuit, noting he did not consider himself guilty. The company decided to pay money to avoid even greater costs in the event of further judicial confrontations
