Seven Russian football fans who were returning from the European championship on football of France, Thursday, June 16, was attacked by three Spanish tourists in Cologne. This is reported by the German newspaper Bild and Express. The attack took place on the square near Cologne Cathedral, about 19 o’clock local time (20.00 MSK).
It is reported that two of the Spaniard suffered a third broken nose. The police managed to arrest six of the attackers, they will spend in custody for at least one night. The seventh fan managed to escape.
As stated by the representative of the police, the fans went to the airport to fly to Moscow.
Earlier in the day, three Russian fans have received prison sentences in France. They were among the 43 fans, which French police arrested 14 June. They were accused of involvement in the riots in Marseilles after the match England – Russia, which injured 35 people.
